Tony Kees

Tony Kees joined Chicago Magic-PSG in fall 2012 as the Assistant Academy Director to Louis Mateus, after 5 years as the Assistant Academy Director at the Chicago Fire Academy. In his 31st year of coaching, Tony brings a unique perspective to the Magic. He has 30 years of high school coaching, 22 years in ODP, 20 years running his own club (EG Arsenal) and all 6 years of Academy Soccer...all done simultaneously! Additionally, Tony has been a personal skills trainer for some of Illinois’ best-ever players, including Jonathan Spector, US International and currently with Birmingham of the EPL. 

 Tony’s formal soccer education includes a USSF National 'A' license, an NSCAA Premier Diploma and the KNVB Advanced Match Analysis Certificate. 

PLAYING EXPERIENCE: Though never signing a pro contract, Tony knocked around in the pro indoor circuit with the Kansas City Comets and Illinois Thunder.

HIGHER EDUCATION: BS of Science in Art Education, Northern Arizona University ’82

 OTHER INTERESTS: painting, inventing board games, guitar, reading

Bato Radoncic

 Bato was born August 28, 1980 in Berane, Montengro. In 1996, at the age of 16, Bato signed his first professional contract with the Berane, a 2nd division Team of Montengro.

Bato played with that team for 3 years and during that time he was named MVP 3 consecutive years. Bato also played for the National Team of Montenegro beginning U16 thru U18. In 2001 Bato would travel to the United States to take a position with the Milwaukee Rampage and was also called in to play for the United States League's Under 21 team in Portugal.

In 2006. Bato was named MVP of American Indoor Soccer League bagging 25 goals and dishing out 23 assists.  He also led the Rockford Rampage to the 2007 Championship. Bato takes pride in every player he brings to the field.

On and off the field he enjoys watching them grow into young men and women of character.  Currently still playing indoor soccer and very recognized athlete in the U.S.  as amember of the US National Futsal Team.

Bato Radoncic


Pascal Bedrossian

Pascal Bedrossian was born in November of 1974 in France. He began his playing career at the Academy of Cannes in July 1990 with Johan Micoud, Patrick Vieira and Zinedine Zidane. His professional soccer career began in 1993 where he played his first professional game at the age of 18. He played the UEFA campaign in 1994/1995 with Cannes and 2002/2003 with Lorient. He won the cup of France in 2002 with Lorient. He ended his career in 2007 in MLS with the Chicago Fire after winning the MLS open cup. He also played with the French youth National team from U15 through U21.

Pascal began his coaching career in 2007 where he coached in a youth club in France for 2 years before moving back to Chicago. In July 2010,Pascal became the Assistant Coach of the Miami FC (Fort Lauderdale Strikers) for 4 months and then returned to Chicago as the Director of Coaching for the FC Drive. Beginning this year, Pascal received his USSF “B” License.

Ben Angel

Ben grew up in Frankfort , Illinois and played his youth carrer with the Chicago Magic Soccer Club from 1991-1999. Coach Angel attended Lincoln-Way HS from 1995 until 1999. He went on to play 4 years at Southern Illinois University. From 2004-2007,     Ben became Director of Coaching for the SIYSA Hawks Soccer Club near St. Louis. 

From 2007 -2009 Coach Angel became a full time Coerver Illinois Staff Coach and moved back to Chicagoland area. Coach Angel has also served as the Director of the SoccerTots Chicago Program, which is based out of Chicago Indoor Sports in the city.   Coach Angel joined the Chicago Magic PSG coaching staff in 2009.  Ben recenltly moved back to Frankfort, IL.

Joe Ducci

  • Ducci was named the 2001 NSCAA High School Player of the Year after leading Lincoln-Way Central to a 22-3-3 record and a third-place finish in the IHSA Class AA state tournament
  • A 2001 First-Team All-State
  • Ducci owns two of the top 36 single-season assist totals in IHSA boys soccer history:  27 (tied for 22nd) in 2000 and 24 (tied for 31st) in 2001.
  • The second straight NSCAA Player of the Year from the Chicago Magic Soccer Club (Current Real Salt Lake star Ned Grabavoy won the 2000 award).

Alex Jurado

Alex was Born August 6th 1974 and grew up in Lombard Illinois.   Played for theSockers FC Chicago (3 state cup championships).  He
graduated from Glenbard East (1992) in Lombard  where he helped
transform the program and produce the best season records in the
school’s history.  Upon graduation, Alex went on to
attend Benedictine University, playing for Magic Coaching Director
Louie Mateus.  

Alex has coached for the past 20 years, most notably for the Sockers

FC Chicago, Eclipse Select, Chicago Fire Juniors and now the Chicago
Magic.  Most recently, Alex spent 3 years as the Assistant Men's coach
at his alma mater, Benedictine University, during which he help revamp
the program and produce the best Men's Soccer results since his
playing days back in 1996.  Alex joined the Magic in the spring of
2012 as the head men's coach for high school ages.
 
Alex resides in Roselle with his wife Bridget.  He has 3 daughters,
Lucia (3) and Giselle (7) and Lisette (21).   Alex's oldest daughter,
Lisette, is a center midfielder at Augustana College in Rock Island
and is completing her Junior year this spring.

Sal Gloria

Sal Gloria grew up playing soccer in Waukegan, IL.  As a youth soccer player, he played competitively on the Waukegan Police Traveling team and played high school at Waukegan East High School. Sal was a four year varsity starter while in high school and set several records that still stand today, including most goals and assists in one season.  During Sal’s Senior year in high school, he was named to the 1st team All-state and 1st team All-American teams.  

 

Sal received a full soccer scholarship to play at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.  During his collegiate career, he was a four year starter and captain of the team.  In his Senior year of college, Sal had the honor of being coached by Dennis Violet, who played professionally for many years at Manchester United in England.  Sal was the team MVP for 3 straight years (Sophomore – Senior years) at Jacksonville University and was voted on Jacksonville University’s “All-Decade” team.    Sal graduated from Jacksonville University with a double major in Marketing and Management.

 

Sal has been coaching youth soccer players since 2001. Prior to joining Magic in 2011, he coached for the Greater Libertyville Soccer Association (GLSA) and Eclipse organizations.  During his time at Magic, Sal has had the opportunity to train with teams that participate in prestigious events. Events Sal has attended  with Magic teams include Dallas Cup, National League, State Cup Championships, Regional Championships and National Championships. Sal currently holds a USSF National  “D” license.

Jorge Valle

 

  Jorge became a professional soccer player at the age of 17 when he signed for the 3rd Division of Atlas de Guadalajara. He spent 4 years in the Atlas Youth Division winning 3 National Championships, 1 in 3rd Division and 2 in 2nd Division.

The native of Mexico City played 1st Division in Lima , Peru at the age of 21. In 2001, Jorge came back to Mexico to play for the "Bachilleres de la U. de G" on 1st "A" Division, he made the All Start Team that year. He spent 1 season with Leon F.C. before playing 1st Division in Mexico for the "Gallos Blancos del Queretaro" on 2002, the following year Jorge won the 1st "A" Division Championship for "Dorados de Culiacan".

On November of 2004, Jorge became part of the Chicago Storm , professional indoor soccer. In 2005 his outstanding soccer skills helped him become the leader of the "Nike FC Magia Team Chicago', a group of players that were ambassadors of soccer for Nike in the Chicago area.

In 2008, Jorge joined the Rockford Rampage , an expansion team for the new indoor soccer league. The team had a great season coming up just short with a loss in the final game against the Baltimore Blast .

Svet was born in Sliven, Bulgaria, moved to the US at age 13.

He started coaching with the Chicago Magic in back in 2004.
