Germantown Invitational Champions!
U12 South Girls Germantown Invitational Champions
The Chicago Magic PSG girls u12 soccer team competed in the Adidas Germantown Invitational Tournament the weekend of November 19th. Germantown is the elite showcase tournament in the mid-South. The Magic defeated BFC 5-1 and defeated the defending champions TNFC (ranked #1 in Tennesee) 2-1 in pool play Saturday.
The Magic girls advanced in the semi-final game 3-1 over BWSC (ranked #3 in Tennessee). The finals found the Magic trailing 1-0 to the Arkansas Comets (ranked #1 in Arkansas) in the final two minutes when Amanda Dinardo found the net to tie the game.
The championship moved to penalty kicks where the Magic went 4 for 4, and keeper Mikayla Brandon stopped two of the Comets first three attempts to clinch the championship!
The Magic is ranked #3 in Illinois, #42 in the nation, and is 69-10-8 over the past two years.
